WORKED EXAMPLE
A practical starting point
A 3000 × 2000 image fitted inside a 1200 × 1200 box becomes 1200 × 800. The image stays in proportion; the box does not force a square crop.

Will it stretch my photo?
No. Fit mode preserves the original aspect ratio and uses the smaller scaling factor.
Can I make a small image bigger?
Yes, but interpolation cannot recover missing detail. Increasing pixels is different from AI upscaling.
Is the output cropped?
No. This tool fits the entire image within your target dimensions.
